About the author
While volunteering as a librarian at a local school the author, Loree Frank, noticed the scarcity of science materials for young children. She began to research and develop books that use rhyme and an animal puppet to describe animals' life, environment and habitat. Having the book printed in a "Picture Book" format allows the parent or teacher to share the animal's life story with the children. Loree is a mother of four children, grandmother and great grandmother. She and her husband Mark reside in Rockford, Michigan.
